The AUEG (Access & Use Evidence Generation) Business Performance Sr. Mgr. is responsible for translating Global AUEG Portfolio Strategy, Governance, and Process framework into execution ready and scalable digital operating models with advancements in technology including AI. This role serves as the integrator and liaison between AUEG Capability and internal Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI), Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI& D) teams and external partners. The Sr. Manager leads the build and delivery of the cross functional, matrixed AUEG technology platform (AUGment) aimed at enabling disciplined prioritization, governance, execution, and management of global, regional and local AUEG activities in collaboration with DTI, AI&D and functional partners in Medical, R&D, and Global Markets & Policy.

This role leads delivery of the enhancement road map of the evolution of AUEG capability that will enable timely prioritization and execution of AUEG activities and demonstrates the realized AUEG impact. As the business owner for the AUGment platform and a strategic business partner to DTI, Medical Data & Analytics (MD&A), and AI& D, the Senior Manager translates business priorities into scalable capabilities enabled through business processes and technology to impact realization.

Working across a highly matrixed environment, this role partners cross-functionally to strengthen organizational performance to accelerate adoption of technology-enabled capabilities and deliver measurable business outcomes. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, information technology understanding and ability to influence across organizational boundaries to deliver meaningful results.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Capability Development

  • Translate AUEG Capability strategy and long-term roadmap into scalable, operating models, business processes for enterprise execution, with clean CORE and FAIR data technology-enabled solutions.
  • Manage and execute on governance, performance measures, and operating standards that support consistent execution and informed decision-making via technology solutions.
  • Partner with AUEG leadership to continuously evolve AUEG capabilities and improve performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through people, processes, technology, and data.

AUGment Business Ownership & Digital Enablement

  • Partner with DTI, AI&D Product Managers and Solution Architects to translate strategic priorities into technology-enabled business capabilities.
  • Serve as the business owner for AUGment and other integrated business enablement technologies.
  • Oversee delivery of the AUGment enhancement roadmap aligned with AUEG priorities.
  • Lead business requirements, process design, user acceptance testing, deployment, and organizational adoption.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to continuously evolve business capabilities and improve business performance.
  • Oversee business-owned collaboration and knowledge management solutions that support the AUEG capability.

Data Strategy & Business Insights

  • Define the AUEG data strategy, roadmap and business reporting framework.
  • Strengthen data quality, governance, and stewardship of business information.
  • Establish and continuously evolve meaningful business impact metrics, KPIs, and executive dashboards.
  • Deliver actionable portfolio insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Advance AI-ready data foundations and analytical capabilities that enable evolving capabilities.

Strategic Partnerships, Adoption & People Leadership

  • Serve as the primary business partner to DTI and MD&A.
  • Build trusted partnerships across Medical, Technology, Data & Analytics, R&D, Global Markets & Policy, Commercialization, Finance, Procurement, and external vendor partners.
  • Translate evolving needs into prioritized capabilities, roadmap enhancements, and technology investments.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption of technology-enabled business capabilities.
  • Identify business risks, develop & implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead a high-performing matrixed team responsible for operational support, reporting, platform administration, and business services for the AUEG organization.
  • Coach and develop team members while establishing scalable operating practices, performance expectations, and continuous improvement initiatives that enable reliable, high-quality business services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of business performance and digital enablement experience OR
  • Master’s degree and 6 years of business performance and digital enablement experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of business performance and digital enablement experience OR
  • Associate’s degree and 10 years of business performance and digital enablement experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of business performance and digital enablement experience
  • In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

Preferred qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience leading business operations, business capability enablement, digital enablement, business performance, technology implementation, or business transformation within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.
  • Experience serving as a business owner or platform owner for enterprise technology platforms that enable scalable business capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success evolving technology-enabled capabilities through process optimization, technology enablement, and operational excellence.
  • Experience integrating business, technology, data, and AI capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of Medical Affairs, Evidence Generation, drug development, commercialization, and the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience managing business operations, budgets, vendors, or external partners.
  • Knowledge of GxP, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and validated business processes.
  • Experience driving organizational adoption and continuous improvement of technology-enabled business capabilities.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
